The Shrike Rocks Dante's, Opening for Jennifer Batten

The Shrike opened up for guitar virtuoso Jennifer Batten at Dante’s last Friday.
We were so honored to have the opportunity to meet her and share the stage with her.

Jennifer is not only ultra-talented and a great performer, but also was down to earth and really funny.

And for those of us who are Michael Jackson and Jeff Beck fans, this was an extra special treat since Jennifer toured with both of those musical icons for years.

Jennifer and Darren met outside of the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall earlier in the week to hand out fliers outside of the Michael Jackson tribute concert.

Our set was 7 of our best songs, all of which were filmed, and we will be posting several of the best videos on our websites soon. In fact, you can watch Creeper, on our YouTube channel.

We greatly enjoyed the new lights at Dante’s, and Darren was beyond excited to get to play Jennifer
Batten’s drummer’s set.

It warmed all of our hearts to see so many of our friends there, and so many of you wearing Shrike t-shirts. Thank you for being the best fans ever!

Jennifer’s first set was her by herself playing along to some film projections that she made.

This was her multi-media show called Sonic Explosion

Her second set was with her full band and they played over an hour’s worth of Jeff Beck songs.

We sat in the front row soaking in her blistering guitar work and were all blown away.

If you haven’t checked out Jennifer Batten, you totally should.

Thanks to Jennifer and Dante’s for having The Shrike open for her.
